Rocky's Snowball Fun

SnOw Much Help

We received fresh, new snow last night that came down from the sky in some of the biggest flakes I have ever seen.

I am happy to say that I have plenty of help around here.....

...to clear the snow....

....off the sidewalk and driveway....

....do I?
Have a wonderful week-end....I know we will.....we have grandparents coming!!!
(Moe was just having a good time...he is actually a very good shoveler!)

Ash Wednesday

Today, we say "Good-Bye" to chocolate and other things......

.....and "Hello" to the gift that is Lent.
A gift we want to open and fully embrace.

Soaking It In

Nacho isn't feeling better yet, but he was feeling pretty good in the afternoon sun!

Green Straws.....



.....were the only requests all week-end long from Super Nacho (who is NOT feeling very super at all).  A fever and cough have been wearing him down since Friday.

He is getting all the green straws he wants!

Where's Buttercup?

Today, I was looking for Buttercup to help with the Saturday morning cleaning chores....

...and I found her....

....giving herself some batting practice....

...and enjoying the mild winter.

When I look for her in the future, I just need to start looking outside first!!

Coco loved getting her haircut so much that she didn't want to leave Great Clips!
She never moved an inch and sat as still as a statue the whole entire time.
Maybe I should pretend to cut her hair during church!!

Hearts

The theme of our day today was....hearts.
We had candy hearts, heart sandwhiches, a meatloaf in the shape of a heart, chocolate hearts, heart napkins, heart placemats.....

....but our main focus...

...was on the heart of a special girl.
"I have cleansed your heart and made you brand new," says the Lord.

Tonight, her heart was made white like the snow through the Sacrament of Reconciliation.

A celebration of grace....

......forgiveness....

...and especially of love!

100th Day of School

Today we celebrated our 100th day of school by making a special treat.
100 Day Snack Mix
First, we counted out 100 licorice...

...and put them in a bowl.

Next, 100 circle pretzels were added, but a few were played with first.

100 animal crackers...

...were also added.

A few ingredients were snitched along the way.

The final recipe included...
100 Dots
100 Pretzels
100 Chocolate Mini Wheats
100 M&M's
100 Gummy Worms
100 Cheez Its
100 Licorice
100 Animal Crackers

A little fun was added to the mix, too.

Counting 100 Cheez Its was also a good way to have a visual aid for a perfect sqaure....10².

We mixed it all togther and.....

....put 1 cup into a baggie.....and munched away while we enjoyed the next phase....
