Welcome to Prarie Pi. This blog exists to journal and document the memories that our family experiences. Pi is "an amount of type that has been jumbled or thrown together at random." We hope to assemble in words and pictures the daily thoughts and activities that happen in our household. We do this to help those that are distant from us get a glimpse into our days so that the miles that separate us won't keep us apart.

7 for 7

001
All 7 children were sick yesterday.  Moe led the brigade on Friday with a high fever, chills and headache and the other 6 came down with the same symptoms on Sunday.  Everywhere you looked, there was a child sleeping or resting on the couch.  Coco even fell asleep on the floor next to the heat register....poor girl was just trying to stay warm!!
008
I have never had all my children sick at the very same time before.  I struggled yesterday to keep all the kids quarantined as they became sick, but by the end of the day, it was so much easier to have everyone in the same club.
Today has been slow going.  When the Tylenol is working....
011
...there seems to be a little action and interest in getting off the couch.....
013
....but when the Tylenol is not working.....it is sleep mode.

Walker Time

009
Baby Anton's walker time is starting to bear fruit.....

020
....as these feet are working on moving him forward....
021
...and backward.....but, mostly backward!
024
This movement has added to his walker time enjoyment....
026
...but, I think he would rather be crawling on the floor as he can get where he wants to go so much faster!!  But, mom prefers to have him in the walker....then I don't have to worry about every little crumb, lint and dirt that might go into his mouth from the floor!!!

Let It Snow…..

001
....on our trip to the Christmas Tree Farm!!!
We didn't mind! The snow actually made our trip seem more festive!!!
The tree has been cut and is in the living room, but we are saving the lights and decorations for next Sunday!
It sure smells good in our house!
