Welcome to Prarie Pi. This blog exists to journal and document the memories that our family experiences. Pi is "an amount of type that has been jumbled or thrown together at random." We hope to assemble in words and pictures the daily thoughts and activities that happen in our household. We do this to help those that are distant from us get a glimpse into our days so that the miles that separate us won't keep us apart.

Princess Party

Coco had a wonderful day on her birthday.

She received a princess MobiGo game...

....from Nacho...

...a princess bike....

...a princess basketball from Moe....

...and princess sparkly nail polish and her first manicure from Buttercup!

She received a purple outfit from Grandpa Wes and Grandma Jo....

...and a fun paint set that she uses almost every day!!

Grandma Jo created a Snow White princess cake to go along with our theme....

....and it was very yummy, too!

Coco was very excited to turn three...

....and she had LOTS....

...of attention....
ALL.
DAY.
LONG!

When it was time to blow out the candles, she suddenly got a little shy....

...but overcame it enough to blow out the last candle.  Moe helped her with the other ones!

It was fun watching Coco turn three.....such a sweet day!

A Whole Week-end of Giving Thanks

We were thankful for Vikings/Bears tickets that were given to us by friends....

...for time spent together...

...and reaching goals that we set!
(Like finishing this puzzle by Sunday.....the last few pieces always seem to gather a crowd as it is fun to finish a 300 piece puzzle....Coco even set quite a few of the pieces herself!)

We are thankful for SD friends who came to visit....

......for healthy children who can dive....

...jump, run and play outside......

....or stay inside and let imaginations go with creative play that can last for hours!

But most of all, we are SO VERY THANKFUL for the special Feast Day that we celebrated on Sunday as the Church calendar comes to an end.
The celebration of the Solemnity of Our Lord Jesus Christ the King.......

....makes these 3 beautiful little girls.....
REAL,
 LIVE,
Princesses!
....as they are the daughters of our Heavenly King!

For this, we give thanks each and every day!

The Sights, Smells and Sounds....

.......of  Thanksgiving were all around us today!

I had fun WATCHING this friendly flag football game with the neighbors.....

...and I saw Buttercup score her first touchdown!

She was also tough on defense...

...and Nacho got a "kick" out of playing, too!

Moe was all time offense, so he was automatically on the winning team!
Good strategy!

Coco played on the swings...
barefoot....
in NOVEMBER!
But, I do believe it might be one of her last opportunties to go barefoot outside until Spring!

As the football game was played, we could SMELL this turkey grilling on the patio....

...and when it was done, it was served with all the usual side dishes that compliment a turkey so well!  Buttercup set the table and Nacho and Moe gathered and created a wonderful center piece using what they could find outside.  The table looked perfect!

After the Thanksgiving meal, I could HEAR Mark wish his parents and brother a "Happy Thanksgiving!"  Coco was happy to remind her grandparents that she is still "3!"

I am very thankful that all my senses witnessed so many blessings today!

Our Little Ballerina....

....watched a Swan Lake video...

...that taught her some basic ballet dancing moves.

It caught her attention for quite some time!
And, the outfit was fun to wear all day, too!
