Welcome to Prarie Pi. This blog exists to journal and document the memories that our family experiences. Pi is "an amount of type that has been jumbled or thrown together at random." We hope to assemble in words and pictures the daily thoughts and activities that happen in our household. We do this to help those that are distant from us get a glimpse into our days so that the miles that separate us won't keep us apart.

The Real Reason We're Jumping For Joy

Did you happen to notice that silver Ford Explorer in the background from my last post?

It belongs to Fr. Morgan!!!
Could that be the reason everyone seems to have a glove in their hands.....

Or a bat.?

Even Coco.....

Has the urge to get in on the action!!

Summertime Singing Sisters

"Ring around the rosie....

A pocket full of posies......

ashes.....ashes.....

We all fall down!!!"

What big sister does.....

Little sister does!!!

"J.....jump joyful jumble around....
On a just nice day..
With the jumpinest J's in town."

It's a great day to sing and jump!!
Have a wonderful Wednesday!

Week-End Smiles

There are some smiles we get when.....

an over-the-fence homerun has been hit....

And there are some smiles....

that we get.....

from....

waterslide fun!!!

This week-end we mixed business (baseball) with pleasure (Wisconsin Dells Waterparks).  Well, OK, baseball is pleasure too,.....
the end result.......lots of smiles and fun!!!

I was especially all smiles as I received good news on some medical tests that I had done!
Thank-you God for good health!

Congrats to Ky on his 4TH HOMERUN of the season!
Keep up the great work!

Love In Action

It is certainly a testimony of "LOVE IN ACTION" when my parents celebrated their 45th Wedding Anniversay on June 11.

And more so.....that LOVE IN ACTION poured out and lifted me up this week-end as my parents spent their 45th Anniversary apart.....so that my dad could come and be with me.....(Mark and 3 older boys were out of town this past week-end)
To be with me and give me support as I heard what the ENT had to say about some troubling symptoms that I have been having.
I am so glad that he was here!!!
Thank-you BOTH mom and dad!!!
I love you!
Sara

American Girl

Buttercup has been dreaming of an American Girl doll to call her own for a very long time.

We've read many of the different books and are currently reading about Kaya, the American Indian from the 1700's.

But after much deliberation.....

She picked out just the right doll.....

Kit....American Girl from 1934.

A dream come true!!!

Summertime Scenes

Nacho can now.....

swim...

underwater!!

Yeah!

Doesn't matter if it is jumping in.....

or sliding in....
As long as we are IN a pool on a hot day!

As Grandpa H. says...."We can hear the corn growing" on these warm, hazy days.

"Our corn" is small yet and the summer days are young.
I like this spot on the calendar!

Have a great day!
