Welcome to Prarie Pi. This blog exists to journal and document the memories that our family experiences. Pi is "an amount of type that has been jumbled or thrown together at random." We hope to assemble in words and pictures the daily thoughts and activities that happen in our household. We do this to help those that are distant from us get a glimpse into our days so that the miles that separate us won't keep us apart.

Wrapping Up The School Year

Our official 2010-2011 academic year is winding down.

Buttercup finished up by illustrating the Haiku she wrote today.

Spring
The weather is warm.
The flowers bloom from the ground.
Nacho plays outside.

Moe took his last math test.....he added and subtracted mixed fractions with different denominators.

Rocky mowed the lawn...because....well, he basically has been done with his assignments since mid-April

Ky typed his last assignment from Mom....a book report on "Left To Tell"....the biography of Immaculee Ilibagiza....a survivor of the Rwandan Holoaust.

Nacho has been busy playing with his space shuttle.  A toy that has been around since Ky and Rocky's early years but was just discovered by Nacho.  This toy has gone everywhere with him today....and was even tucked into a special bed last night.

Life's rythym will soon have a different beat....more to follow.

  1. today was 8th grade grad at O'G, and I took a minute to remember Kyler's graduation, too! Hope your new "rythym" has a awesome beat!

  2. You must have found the book! I'd love to hear Ky's take on it (and yours!). We are done tomorrow and cannot wait! BK lunch, to keep our tradition alive, and probably some indoor relaxing, due to the weather that is moving in. On our 'things to do this summer list', more than one person suggested getting together with you. Let's hope it happens!
