Back In The Saddle

Rocky had his last football game this past week-end.

Today is only Tuesday....

...and he already misses it.
Rocky had a great season and was a force to be reckoned with.
Good job, Rocky...can't wait for next year!

I had a good view from where I was standing at the top of the bleachers....I could see the football game, but also turn around the other way and see the kids playing and enjoying a nice, fall day.

Moe had fun practicing his punts...

...and playing catch with Grandpa S.

Nacho was captivated...

....and had fun.....

....playing with the tackle dummy!!

I think he got the best of the Big Blue Guy....

....when all was said and done!

Buttercup enjoyed the open grass...

...and did summersaults....

..to her heart's content...

...even trying to toss a football up in the air...then quickly do a summersault.....and catch the ball as she stood up again....all before the ball touched the ground.
Didn't quite work, but she gave it a try!

Half-time snacks are always a treat...

....and so is having your very own sidekick....

....who always seemed to have her eyes on Papa and waited for him to follow her wherever she wanted needed to go.

We are back from a 2 week blogging break!! During that time we experienced technical difficulties with a computer virus. It took a toll, but we are now back in the saddle with one new computer. Tonight, I am trying a new program that allows me to publish my pictures easier than I did before. I am pretty sure everyone should be able to leave a comment now that our infected computer is gone. I think the virus was to blame for taking away that option. If you have a moment, please try and leave a comment so I know everything is working!

October Swimming....

.....with your neighbor is a wonderful past-time on a fall day.......

....and so is celebrating a birthday with your friend when he turns 5.

A day with just the right amount of heat to make you feel warm....



.....and just the right amount of bending light to create a sun dog.....perfectly visible from the pool....perfectly enjoyable day!!!



Vikes Win- Part II

Why did Buttercup take sole responsiblity for Minnesota winning on Sunday?



...becasue she wore her brand new Vikings jersey that she got for her birthday from Grandpa and Grandma S.....this could be the start of successful winning streak!

Rocky wants her to wear the jersey again next Sunday for a win against the team he loathes the most...the Bears!

There was excitement in the house today.....the Vikings did something "different" this week.....they won!!
Buttercup is taking sole responsiblity for the win!!!

For The Birds

Those city birds were pretty slick....Nacho couldn't quite catch one!!!!!

Two American Girl Dolls....

 

...celebrating a birthday in true fashion...



...with brunch at The American Girl Place.
The ladies were accompanied by Buttercup's three older brothers and the boys were not disappointed in the yummy entrees that were served!



We then had a short walk to Sunday Mass at the beautiful Cathedral downtown.

A relaxing stroll back to our vehicle....

...found us enjoying the hustle and bustle of the city as it began to wake up.



We threw pennies in a fountain for extra birthday wishes......

...and we were home by early afternoon to enjoy more of the beautiful, fall day.

Buttercup was truly jumping for joy....





.....and walking on air all day...

 

...even when she WASN'T jumping with her new jump rope!



A requested lasagna supper was followed by more birthday wishes...

 

...and then back outside to enjoy the sunset....



...and home-made cards....



...and gifts which included a special dress for Kit from Grandpa and Grandma H...



...and matching pajamas from Grandpa and Grandma S.....

....that gave this BIRTHDAY girl a cozy way to snuggle in and dream of all the sights and sounds of her birthday adventure.
Thank you Guardian Angels for keeping us safe!
