Mother's Day 2012

Sunday was a beautiful, gorgeous day!  A picnic along the river and some time at the driving range......2 great ways to play in the sun and spend time together!

Ahhhh, Spring!

Reading....

...and pitching practice...

...were two afternoon activities that were enjoyed on this gorgeous spring day.....activities that I've witnessed many times before....

......but, when I saw this scene outside my kitchen window, I had to stop and think about what new activity Moe was up to today!?

It had to do with a blue jay that was hanging around our yard today.

Moe had some bird feed in his hand and he was trying to lure in the blue jay for a little treat.

Mr. Jay has let Moe come pretty close, but hasn't taken Moe up on his offer yet!

Piano Recital

Buttercup and Moe had a piano recital on Sunday.
Buttercup played, "The Queen's Royal Entrance"...

...and also played "It's A Small World" duet with her teacher.

Moe played a firey fast song called "Firedance"....and then...

....fist pumped his way off the stage as this was his official last recital.  The teacher is trying to talk him into coming back next year, but he has finished his required 3 years....a family standard that is a part of his homeschool music courses.

It was a nice "coffee shop" type recital and they both did well!  Buttercup kept her 1st Communion dress on for the 4:00pm recital so she was able to wear her special dress almost all day.....

...but when she got home....the dress came off....and as fun as it was to wear it....it felt good to get into play clothes and then head outside to ride bike!!

Today was a beautiful day...

...and pure joy shown on Buttercup's face...

...in anticipation of...

....receiving her Lord for the very 1st time in Holy Communion.

Words cannot express her happiness and bliss as she walked on air all day.

Of course, this event could not go by without a celebration...

....and enough cake for everyone to have their fill.

"Adoremus in Aeternum Santissimum Sacramentum" which translates to "Let us for ever adore the Most Holy Sacrament."

....to honor this special day.

The Newest Pet

Moe, Buttercup, and Nacho are taking their newest pet for a little walk.




They found this little guy yesterday....




....and they have named him C.A.N.



Today, C.A.N. attended predator training classes.
He is providing lots of fun.....we now need to figure out exactly what he likes to eat so he can continue to provide more fun!
Any suggestions are welcome!!

Buttercup just received this package in the mail!!  It is something white and beautiful and will be worn this week-end!!

Happy May Day!

We made....

Nacho dropped one, but made a good call and said that he was giving that one to the dog, Hogan, who lives there!
