Welcome to Prarie Pi. This blog exists to journal and document the memories that our family experiences. Pi is "an amount of type that has been jumbled or thrown together at random." We hope to assemble in words and pictures the daily thoughts and activities that happen in our household. We do this to help those that are distant from us get a glimpse into our days so that the miles that separate us won't keep us apart.

Winter BP....

...can stand for Winter Batting Practice.
January's mild temperatures has led us to enjoy a favorite past-time....

...in a season where we usually don't get to do it!
Coco will stand by somewhat patiently and wait her turn to whack the ball!

The swings continue to get a good work out....

...and so do the people who are swinging in them!!!

And Winter BP can stand for Basketball Practice!!!  Moe's time to play basketball has finally arrived....

...although he is always on the driveway court practicing...

...it is now time for him to play indoors...

He LOVES to go to practice with his team every M-W-F....

...and is looking forward....

....to playing in some local games and tournaments.
His 1st game is Saturday!!!
It's been a long time coming!

Back To School....

...and back to routine.

Much to Nacho's delight...

...it is "N" week this week.

Moe doing his math.....in the sunroom with plenty of sunshine......
...so much that we spent most of the afternoon outside IN the sunshine!

It's was a bright...bright, sunshiny day!!!

Our Christmas Trip....

...brought us even more wonderful Christmas memories.
Thank you Grandpa Wes and Grandma Jo for your generosity!

It is so much fun to give....

...and lots of fun to receive...

...your own IPod, so you don't have to share anymore!

New clothes...

...are fun to try on....right on the spot!

And smiles are always abundant when....

there are new toys....

...to play with and get to know!

We are thankful for Ole and Cleo for opening their home to us!
*Notice the beautiful Christmas Star shining in the window!*

And thank-you to Grandpa and Grandma H.....

...for all your Christmas gifts!  Coco's purple dress is beautiful!
I didn't get as many pictures as I had hoped while we were at your house!
I guess I was too busy relaxing!

We enjoyed our time at the hotel with family in North Dakota....

...and playing cards with my 98 year old Grammy.

Happy New Year!!!
We hope your year will be blessed with love, health and happiness!

Peace and Joy,
From Our Family To Yours!

Warm Blanket

This year, Christmas Eve at our house......

...was like....

...being wrapped up in a warm, cozy blanket.
 (Moe's new present from Buttercup)
I felt surrounded....
....(like a present that is all tucked up in it's gift wrap)....

....by the glow of Christmas beauty and joy.....

And it brought me peace.

Happy Birthday, Jesus!
Thank you so much for all the prayers as we experienced a loss through a miscarriage.
We are always grateful for the love of family and friends.

It’s Beginning To Look A lot Like Christmas.....

...as the aroma of sweet cookies filled the air....
...decorated by a bit of "sweetness" herself!

Also, the sounds of the season have been filling the air with beautiful music. Coco loves to turn on this special carousel train that we received as a gift in the mail from Grandpa Wes the year we were married.....
003
...and it has been set up each year since then and it continues to be the favorite decoration.

Ky had the honors this year of putting the angel on top of our tree....

.....as the final touches were added just last night to make our tree look perfect.
Grandma Jo....this picture is for you!!!
