Welcome to Prarie Pi. This blog exists to journal and document the memories that our family experiences. Pi is "an amount of type that has been jumbled or thrown together at random." We hope to assemble in words and pictures the daily thoughts and activities that happen in our household. We do this to help those that are distant from us get a glimpse into our days so that the miles that separate us won't keep us apart.

American Girl

Buttercup has been dreaming of an American Girl doll to call her own for a very long time.

We've read many of the different books and are currently reading about Kaya, the American Indian from the 1700's.

But after much deliberation.....

She picked out just the right doll.....

Kit....American Girl from 1934.

A dream come true!!!

  1. Alice is reading Kit right now! She guessed Josefina, then Kaya, then Rebecca (the same order your pictures were in!). She is just going to sit out side and read Kit. She is very excited for you. Hopefully they can watch the movie together sometime!
