Welcome to Prarie Pi. This blog exists to journal and document the memories that our family experiences. Pi is "an amount of type that has been jumbled or thrown together at random." We hope to assemble in words and pictures the daily thoughts and activities that happen in our household. We do this to help those that are distant from us get a glimpse into our days so that the miles that separate us won't keep us apart.

Monday Garbage Day

Nacho loves garbage trucks. On 61st St. they were green. Here, they are a bright orange. But, both colors are very spellbinding and exciting. Nacho knows when it is Monday as it is the day that daddy goes back to work. He waits patiently all morning as he knows the truck comes right after lunch, so he goes outside to play and to listen for that familiar heavy engine sound and the grinding of the metal brakes. He can sense when it is near.
Kinda like having your very own big screen....

......high definition with surround sound, 3-D, summer blockbuster hit movie.....

........right in your very own front yard.....
fully engaged as the garbage gets put in the truck for the final climax...

.....feeling satisfied of catching this week's episode. Buttercup dutifully carries the garbage container back to the garage and goes inside.....but, Nacho,.......

can't wait to see the next show.......and sits patiently again.........this time for the Recycling Truck.
