Welcome to Prarie Pi. This blog exists to journal and document the memories that our family experiences. Pi is "an amount of type that has been jumbled or thrown together at random." We hope to assemble in words and pictures the daily thoughts and activities that happen in our household. We do this to help those that are distant from us get a glimpse into our days so that the miles that separate us won't keep us apart.

The Birthday Girl's Special Day

Buttercup's birthday was a day full of games.....
We had Rocky's football game....

Both Buttercup and Moe had soccer games.....

Buttercup did a pre-game warm-up with 100 jumps to get herself ready to play.....

(or she opened an early morning present and could hardly put the jump rope down)

Then, she had her last Fall softball game......

This was Buttercup's first introduction to the game of softball. It was a very short season where she learned how to play the game. Spring will just be too busy for her to play at the same time as her brothers play, so Fall Ball was a great option for us.
She loved it.

Then, after a rather chilly day, it was a supper of hamburger/noodle casserole that really warmed us up.....Grandma's special and our favorite.

Then, it was time to frost the cake.

Grandma Jo's creation turned out wonderfully and very yummy, too. I have yet to make a birthday cake.......that is a job that both Grandmas have done for as long as I can remember.

Next, it was on to the opening of the presents. Nacho could hardly be patient any longer.......he had been waiting for this point of the day ALL DAY LONG. It was extra special that we had Grandpa and Grandma here to share the week-end with us!

The new car!!! We had to take it outside for a test drive even though it was pitch dark by the time she opened it!!!
It was a very wonderful and fun day!!
WE ARE SO THANKFUL FOR THE GIFT OF OUR DAUGHTER......who brings so much love to our family!!
WE LOVE YOU, BUTTERCUP!
